It's not that allies have something axis don't... It's that they each have the same thing but one is WAY better as well as being non doctrinal for no apparent reason. You don't have to necessarily nerf UKF commander, it's nice to have asymmetrical factions and all, just bring the okw one in line with the UKF one. I'm pretty sure you only get one OKW commander at a time so it's not even that big of a deal. |
Only worthy bulletins right now for me are EXP boost, cooldown time (howitzers) and price reduction. Everything else is "placebo" - changes nothing, but making you feel like it does.
More or less. Before when you could get like 15% panther weapon reload or armour it could actually make a difference. You can still currently get 10% ost mortar accuracy which I find interesting. Ones says "fires 5% more accurately", the other says "autofires 5% more accurately" |

Those numbers look a little high to me. For instance, if you add 3 bulletins to rifles, say 10% acc, 7% reduced accuracy and 25% vet, you will have an overwhelmingly powerful units at the start compared to say grens, and other players will effectively be forced to match your bulletins or risk losing the game right from the start.
I think accuracy should be buffed to 5%, rifle cooldown to maybe 10%? Mathematically it wont change much seeing as how the original value is so small. I think cost reduction 10-15% is reasonable and 20% build time is fine, but arty reload 20% might be a bit over the top. Up to 10% from 5% there would be noticeable and not too major.
One of the major issues is that factions like brits lack bulletins. For example, vickers supression is poor, but it has no bulletins outside standard recruit/veteran/officer training ones. The same can be said about some units like okw falls, or sturms. |
Now that the war spoils system isn't a complete joke and you can no longer stack bulletins, I think it would be appropriate to add some new bulletins (for the newer factions especially that have less than the vanilla ones), and rework some of the existing ones.
For example, instead of reducing the cost of a mine by 6% or a panzerfaust by 4% the cost of incendiary rounds by 2%, why not make it a flat number? Barring that, maybe up the % to like 10%? What, saving 5 muni on a teller or 3 on a tm-35 is going to break the game? Right now no one who cared about their bulletins (as irrational as it currently is) would ever use and of the cost-reduction ones.
Players (myself included) like to have customization options and be able to see the results of said customization even if it's minor. The issue of the potential to stack multiple bulletins and buff a unit beyond what is reasonable no longer exists, so why not?
I have no experience in coding but I don't think it would be that hard or time consuming to do on the part of relic either. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeah pretty much, I just wanted to mention a few things in a specific way that I thought would add to it as well as weigh in on the matter myself. Hope they do something about this. (they probably won't)
Edit: another possibility would be give sturms shrecks that they can unequip like their sweeper. Just make them choose one or the other (the sweeper+repair speed is really important for okw), and given them an icon so that he opponent knows they have them. I haven't seen it before but I'm sure people have already suggested it somewhere. |
I played a few balance mod games and I agree that OKW is just weaker than before. 2 STG's on volks? Are you kidding me? It's hardly even an upgrade, and it costs 60muni. You would be better off placing two mines. And adding a single shreck to sturms turns them from a decent AI squad to a borderline incompetent, expensive ai squad with poor at ability. As soon as 1 model gets dropped, you're down to 50% DPS of a regular sturm squad and anyone that knows anything will tell you that even in close range 2 sturms lose to any mainline allied infantry. A single shreck is not going to do anything, in order to have any chance at wiping a light vehicle you need at minimum 2. Oh I should build a racketen? Right, now I've invested about 600mp into two squads that have virtually no anti-infantry capability in the first few minutes of the game. Doesn't get much easier for rifles.
I'd suggest adding a second shreck to sturms like Pgrens have for 120 muni, and rethink this 2 stg upgrade. Maybe give them all stg, or an mg or G43s or something. As it is I don't think I'll ever get the stg upgrade on volks, seeing as how they have bad received accuracy without a lot of vet so charging the enemy is basically suicide it makes no sense to trade a squad that is strong/average/below average in cover relative to their cost and a couple of mines for a squad that is weak/average/above average. Whether you're easily offended or not, its annoying as fuck. I don't care what scrub virgin sewage like this guy have to say. But its distracting as hell to constantly hear a beep and see I ANAL FUK UR MOM in corner of the screen. Relic should just make a ignore button (a feature that should have been in at launch). I don't care if Relic doesn't ban him as long as there is an option to not get spammed with autism.
It doesn't annoy me, I usually find it funny, but you're exactly right about the ignore option. Every other game I can think of has a mute button even if they have a strong support staff. (which this game doesn't) The idea has occurred to me before and probably to most of the people that play this game. |
